In a spring day, when the avalanche hazard was high in the mountains and willing to go hiking, we chose Prairie Mountain as our destination. This peak is not spectacular, but when the weather conditions are good it is a good lookout spot. The access is from Highway 66, close to Elbow Falls. The path through the woods was covered with snow and mud, which became slippery especially on the way down.

I have got hiking ideas on Outlaw Peak, Banded Peak and Mount Glasgow.

Moose Mountain, where during the summer time there is a fire watchtower.

We did an easy trip 3 - 4 hours
