In May 2006, still leaving in US, I have decided to sign up for Twisted Ankle Marathon. This race takes place in James Floyd State Park, Georgia. The trail goes on a hilly terrain in Chattahoochee National Forest. At the starting line, there were around 185 runners, approximately half for marathon and the other half for the half marathon. Angela, Chris and Nikita composed the support team. They waited me in the aid stations and cheered me up especially at the end of the race, when the temperature and the fatigue took its toll. I finished the race in 5 hours and 1 minute, quite exhausted. The race purpose is to collect money for James Floyd State Park.
